Hydrogen is the smallest molecule in existence. Every seal, every valve seat, every connection must be flawless — because even the slightest leak can lead to catastrophic consequences. Operating pressures reach up to 1,000 bar in production environments and 350 to 700 bar at refueling stations. Material selection is critical: hydrogen embrittlement can compromise standard steels, requiring carefully qualified alloys such as 316L stainless steel and Inconel.

IMF International brings over 20 years of proven experience in high-pressure industrial gas applications. Our in-house design office engineers custom regulators and valves rated up to 1,000 bar, using hydrogen-compatible materials and certified to ATEX and PED standards. We support the full hydrogen value chain: production, packaging, distribution, refueling stations, cryogenic laboratories, fuel cells, and combustion systems.

IMF International, through its IMF and ADES Technologie entities, has supplied the industrial sector for decades. IMF has offered PET blow moulding solutions for over 20 years, while IMF’s bespoke engineering capabilities address the most demanding chemical, steel and industrial applications. Our products are available in a wide range of corrosion- and high-temperature-resistant materials — Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, stainless steel — and are designed to integrate directly into existing production lines with minimal downtime.

When lives depend on equipment, there is no margin for error. IMF International has been engineering defense-grade fluid control systems for over 60 years.

Defense platforms — submarines, surface vessels, armored vehicles — operate in some of the harshest environments imaginable. Components must withstand extreme pressures, continuous vibrations, saltwater corrosion, and mechanical shocks, while fitting into severely constrained spaces. A single component failure can compromise an entire mission. Military qualification standards such as MIL-STD and naval classification rules demand rigorous testing, full traceability, and absolute confidentiality. And with platform lifecycles spanning 30 years or more, long-term support is not optional — it’s essential.

IMF has been designing hydraulic and pneumatic regulation systems for naval defense since 1965. Our engineering team has proven expertise in high-pressure regulation for submarines and surface vessels, including the ability to reverse-engineer and replace obsolete components on existing platforms. Our design office is accustomed to working within strict confidentiality requirements, and we provide full lifecycle support — from initial specification to spare parts decades later.

Nuclear plants, power stations, oil & gas platforms — energy production demands components that perform flawlessly under extreme conditions, every single day.

The energy sector encompasses some of the most heavily regulated environments in industry. Nuclear power requires compliance with the strictest certification frameworks — RCC-M, ESPN, ASME codes — with zero tolerance for deviation. Thermal power plants and offshore oil & gas platforms operate under sustained high pressure and high temperature, often with corrosive media such as H₂S, CO₂, and seawater. Qualification cycles are long, yet when a critical component fails, replacement must be immediate.

Within IMF International, ADES Technologie holds nuclear qualifications with experience on both primary and secondary reactor circuits. IMF is currently pursuing its own nuclear certification. Across the group, our valves and regulators are qualified for ATEX Zone 0/1/2 environments, manufactured from materials selected for offshore corrosion resistance, and available with accelerated production for urgent replacements.

Transportation systems demand components that perform reliably across millions of operating cycles. Railway braking systems, door mechanisms, and pantograph controls must function flawlessly in all weather conditions, under constant vibration, with zero tolerance for failure. Maritime applications add the challenge of saltwater corrosion and continuous mechanical stress. And in motorsport, the equation is different again: maximum performance in minimum space, delivered on the shortest possible timeline.

IMF International’s roots in transportation go back to 1948, when AUXIM began manufacturing pneumatic valves. Railway applications followed in 1955, and for over 70 years, the group has supplied pneumatic and hydraulic components to Europe’s leading train manufacturers and operators. Our marine expertise, developed alongside our defense activity, covers corrosion-resistant materials and vibration-tolerant designs. For motorsport, our custom engineering capability enables rapid prototyping and small-series production under tight deadlines.

Space is the most extreme environment there is. Components must survive the vacuum of space, thermal swings from -150°C to +150°C, and the intense vibrations of launch — all while being as light as possible, because every gram counts. Qualification standards such as ECSS and NASA-STD are among the most demanding in any industry. Production volumes are low, but the value and criticality of each unit are exceptionally high. Full material traceability is mandatory.

IMF International enters the aerospace and space sector with a unique advantage: decades of experience designing fluid control systems for environments where failure is not an option. The high-pressure expertise, extreme-environment materials (Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium), and custom engineering approach developed for submarine and defense applications transfer directly to space.
